Hello there! Welcome  to my blog. I'm Asil (pronounced Aseel), a single mom, environmental consultant by profession and artist by choice based in Montreal. My paintings mostly depict my love for the natural world, in various landscapes, seascapes and florals. All original artwork (acrylic, watercolor and oil paintings) is available in my shop.

This blog is about living as creatively and intentionally as I can in the bountiful now.  It is my happy place where I will be indulging in two of my favorite things in life: writing and art. There will be reflections on motherhood, art, a smattering of poetry and other creative endeavors, since art in all its glorious forms have become such an important part of my life, and bits and bobs about food and gardening.
